Rolling Restarts and more

hello everybody still watching this blog. We have updated to the latest svn of the core opensim files and have retained our custom code. Also the database has been replaced, we think mysql keeps falling asleep and then an entry needs written and it borks. were not sure how it is sleeping with a time of 604800 haha wouldn't sleep if it was not messed with for a week at a time. but it is being used a lot. Logins will be on and off today and rolling restarts of most of the grid will come into affect. The Private "Hidden" sim's will not be restarted or upgraded from 7274 yet. if you need it please contact us asap and we will upgrade you.

Grid Message Update

Database.

Our database which was made from a pre-existing test model located on another server across the country seemed to have corrupt it's self in the middle of the transfer to the new server and the mysql did not indicate there was an error till it was to late. So our technitions wiped the database and made a brand spanking new one. These's databases are now backed up offsite but stay within the city the server is in. I would like to welcome all those who have contacted me say'ing they could not login. Please remember to set your account up once again

Grid Update

Over the weekend of December 30th we had a database failure which put us to a full wide grid halt. We learned that the database we had been using was corrupted and almost none functional. seems our last service provider had raid controller issues and our drives were rebuild quite a few times without our knowledge. To correct this problem a new database was installed along with a fresh copy of Redux the opensim web interface for signup's. I have disabled the money system until we can get an active way to buying utopian's with real money as it stood you could get millions free, Now how would that do the non existant econmomy in Utopia :)t

We are currently working on a client with the built in functionality for money right now to be able to use money in the system you have to use the following arguments after the exe

-multiple -loginuri http://utopiagrid.net:8002 -loginpage http://utopiagrid.net/opensimwi/loginscreen.php -helperuri http://utopiagrid.net/opensimwi/

Without this you will not be able to upload or use money in the system.

Also a status update.

We are currently under going slight upgrades to the login and asset system. at this time the new account creation and logins are off. we expect to have these returned to on status soon.

Hello and welcome to our first blog post reguarding our Grid "Utopia"
